The Civic Scrutiny weekly

One email a week: the pieces published in the last seven days, each built from a document you can open (accounts, minutes, auditor reports, FOI responses), with the register entries they touch. Nothing else is ever sent, the address is used for nothing else, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.

Subscribing is double opt-in: enter your address, then the 6-digit code we email you. The code expires after ten minutes. What is stored and for how long is on the privacy page.

What the email looks like

A dated subject line and the week's pieces as short linked items with a one-paragraph summary each. The same rules as the site: every claim traces to a document, and a council's disputed reading is recorded alongside ours. A week with no new pieces sends no email.
